Nagasaki, August 9th, 1945. Nearly 200,000 innocent civilians died immediately, with untold consequences on future generations.
Some people believe that since the dawn of time, humanities greatest potential for creativity has always been channeled into its capabilities for war and destruction. So to, with the understanding of atomic physics, has come the capability of complete annihilation of most of the life forms on this earth. This threat has existed for over fifty years and continues to confront us daily in this new century.

Since the beginning of the atomic age, the indigenous peoples of the world have experienced a disproportionate impact from the nuclear cycle. Many indigenous peoples have been relocated and they and their land have been contaminated by the mining of uranium ore, its processing and industrial manufacturing, the testing of nuclear weapons and finally. the dumping of nuclear waste. Indigenous and peoples of color communities have always borne the brunt of the resulting environmental and physical catastrophe resulting from this genocidal nuclear colonialism.

We have collected a great set of resources on this web page to educate you about the history of nuclear weapons and the peril they continue to place us in. We hope that you will share this information with others and join us in taking action – what ever it may be – to help stop this madness and achieve nuclear abolition now!

We are demanding that the U.S. government:
• Stop all new and modified nuclear weapons development
• Dismantle all existing nuclear weapons
• Cancel all future sub-critical and full-scale nuclear weapons tests
• Close down the Nevada Test Site and all nuclear weapons development laboratories
• Stop the contamination from the nuclear weapons program
• Commit to a thorough clean-up plan for radioactive and toxic areas
